As always, it's been ages since I last wrote, but here's the update.

Last week I was given the position of Children's Director at the Logan County District Library (dream job), which I will be officially starting May 1st.  The next two-ish weeks will be training, and I am so delighted that God wants me to be paid to read stories, sing and dance, and play with little people.  Could a job get any better?  In my case, that would probably be a no.    Thank you Lord.

Tom is still working 3rd shift at CEVA, but we're thankful that we both have jobs right now.

Have a wonderful Spring.  With love, Ariel

Well, good news!  After months of searching, Tom has a job!  Now we need him to get a driver's license and a car (no biggie).  I'm thrilled that he'll have something to do, and even though it's second shift, we're very grateful, and we will have Sundays off together (so that's nice).  Yay God, and thanks for the prayers!!

Gee it's cold!  My parents are on holiday in Key West and it's a cool 89o there!  Woah, I'd love the hot sun and heat, but right now our house is probably in the 45 to 50o range.  We're grateful for a roof over our heads, but are hoping that we'll have jobs soon.  I'd be grateful for your prayers for that, and we'll let you know as soon as we start jobs.

Have a nice day!

Happy New Year!  I hope it is a wonderful year for everyone.

My New Year's wish is for Tom to be able to come over (one would hope at least sometime in the coming year).  I do have hope that he will be able to fly over in the next few weeks, but so far we have no word on the situation.  Right now we're also getting some seriously cold and icky weather.  Lots of snow, but it's blowing so much out there that it is just clumping in a few places.

At the moment I'm keeping myself occupied with cleaning and painting at the house that Tom and I are to move into.  I look forward to finishing the painting especially as it is time consuming and I'm doing it now on my own (though for a while I did have some very welcome help from my siblings and a friend).

Stay warm!  Ariel

Packing, packing, packing!  That's what I'm doing today.  Since I won't have a lot of time before Tom and I leave, it seemed smart to get things started.  I have one suitcase totally packed, and the bigger suitcase is 2/3 full, with room for some clothes and other odds and ends.  I think we will have to send a box of books home, but Tom and I are making some touch choices and hopefully we'll be able to give things and some nice books to charity or friends.  In the run-up to Christmas I'm glad that we're doing Christmas a bit smaller and simpler this year.  No need for blow-out gifts or crazy expenses.  It will just be nice to be with family and my darling husband at Christmas.

Don't stress out in the holiday season, enjoy being with the people you love, and don't worry about impressing people.  They'll love simple but thoughtful gifts because they're a symbol of your love for them.    Ariel
